Tigers' phenom Max Clark making loud case for call-up from Triple-A Toledo originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Max Clark carries himself like he's ready for the big stage.
Pretty soon, the Detroit Tigers will have no choice but to call up the centerfield phenom from Triple-A Toledo and give him the chance to shine at the MLB level.
Clark, a top-10 prospect in the entire sport, is absolutely red hot for the Mud Hens.
Through 10 games, he's batting .421 with a 1.105 OPS.
Clark is 5-for-5 on steals at Triple-A so far and has walked eight times compared to just three strikeouts.
He's also already making plays in the outfield, and his left-handed swing is locked in.

Clark got a long look during Spring Training, but he ended up being just a bit too erratic for the Tigers to keep him in the majors.
They did keep up infielder Kevin McGonigle on the Opening Day roster, another top-10 prospect in the sport. The Tigers are certainly in quite the situation having both McGonigle and Clark becoming ready at about the same time.
Clark carries himself with a swagger on the field, but especially in this modern era of baseball, there's nothing wrong with that. He's confident in himself and shows it.
Soon, that confidence will be put to the test at the MLB level. It certainly seems like Clark will be ready.
