Tiger Woods has entered a not guilty plea to his latest DUI charge and has hired the same attorney who represented him during his 2017 DUI case in Jupiter.
Martin County court records for Woods' plea show that Douglas Duncan is the attorney of record for the 15-time majors winner. Duncan filed a written plea of not guilty on March 31 and planned to waive Woods' appearance during an arraignment hearing next month.
Woods is requesting a jury trial.
Woods, 50, was arrested on March 27 after a two-vehicle crash in Jupiter Island and is facing charges of DUI with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test. He was released from jail that night and driven home in a private vehicle.
In May 2017, Jupiter Police found Woods asleep at the wheel of his damaged 2015 Mercedes-Benz. A Breathalyzer recorded 0.00 alcohol levels then, too, but a subsequent toxicology report revealed a concoction of prescription medications and other substances in his system. Represented by Duncan, he entered a plea deal in August 2017 to a lesser charge of reckless driving. Two months later, he entered a Palm Beach County first-time offender diversion program.
Woods had difficulty following directions while taking sobriety tests and was carrying two pills revealed to be hydrocodone following his rollover crash, according to the Martin County Sheriff's Office.
The Jupiter Island resident said he had looked down at his cellphone and was changing radio stations as he drove his black Land Rover along South Beach Road when he struck a trailer attached to the Ford F-150 he was passing.
The impact caused Woods to lose control of the Land Rover, which flipped onto its driver's side, according to a report made public on March 31.
