CONCORD - The Dover High School boys tennis team swept singles and cruised past Concord, 8-1 in its Division I season-opening match on Thursday, April 9.
Diego Lopez (No. 1, 8-2), Matias Lopez (No. 2, 8-1), Evan Weete (No. 3, 8-3), Gavin Beauregard (No. 4, 8-0), John Tran (No. 5, 8-5) and Aidan McCann (No. 6, 9-7) won their respective singles matches.
In doubles, the Lopez brothers won 8-2 at No. 1, and Weete and Beauregard won 8-2 at No. 2.
Nashua North 8
Spaulding 1
ROCHESTER - Ronald Boisvert and Logan Putnam won their No. 3 doubles match, 8-6, securing Spaulding's lone win in its season-opening Division I match.
Dover 8
Concord 1
DOVER - Paige Wilson (No. 1, 8-1), Kim Tarr (No. 2, 8-1), Jane Mathews (No. 3, 8-1), Siena Dambrosio (No. 4, 8-3), and Lily Mozzoni (No. 5, 8-1) all won their respective singles matches for Dover in its Division I season-opening contest.
In doubles, Wilson and Tarr won 8-2 at No. 1, Mathews and Dambrosio won 8-2 at No. 2, and Mozzini and Ella Froton won 8-6 at No. 3.
