What happened?

On the 2 point conversion, Darnold threw a swing pass in the flat that bounced off a Rams defender’s helmet and harmlessly fell to the ground incomplete and then Charbonnet just picked up the ball in the end zone and threw it to a ref.

But on replay, it showed Darnold’s swing pass was SLIGHTLY backwards, so when it hit the helmet it was actually a live ball and when Charbonnet picked up in the end zone that made it a 2 point conversion to tie the game!

Seattle scored after a big play to pull within 2. In the 2-point attempt, Darnold bounced the pass off a defender. Attempt fails.

BUT!

On review the pass was BACKWARD. A Seattle player picked up the ball in the end zone at the end of the play. He’s given the conversion.
