HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — After losing former team captain Matthew Hobbs, the Evansville Thunderbolts locked down two-time SPHL President’s Cup champion, Jordan Simoneau.
The veteran forward will be heading into his third season with the Bolts when they take the floor in their season opener against Knoxville on October 16th.
Simoneau is one of nine players who was on the roster for both of the back-to-back President’s Cup championships.
Last year, he finished with 14 goals and 20 points in 56 regular season games. A feat good enough to rank in fourth all-time for the franchise in goals scored in a season.
Simoneau and Evansville will raise their second President’s Cup championship banner in their home opener on Saturday, October 17th, against the Ice Bears.
