The San Antonio Spurs took down the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 6 Thursday night, forcing a Game 7 for the Western Conference crown Saturday night. This marks the first Game 7 in the Western Conference Finals since 2018, when the Houston Rockets hosted the Golden State Warriors.
In that game Kevin Durant and Steph Curry got the better of James Harden as the Warriors won 101-92. Durant tallied 34 points, five rebounds and five assists while Curry had a near triple-double, scoring 27 points to go along with 10 assists, nine rebounds and four steals. Klay Thompson added 19 points of his own while Draymond Green posted a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds.
On the other side, James Harden, Eric Gordon and Clint Capela combined for 75 of the team's 92 points. Chris Paul missed both Game 6 and 7 in the series due to a hamstring injury. This helped Golden State come back from a 3-2 deficit to reach the NBA Finals. There they would go on to sweep LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in four games.
