Head coach P.J. Fleck and co. welcome a sixth in-state commitment into the boat, with Lakeville South offensive tackle Joseph Hamer committing to play for the home state Minnesota Golden Gophers.

Scouting Report​

Hamer is a high-ceiling offensive tackle prospect. Even at 6’7” and weighing in at 315 lbs., he looks lean for his size and could easily add 30 lbs. at the next level without losing athleticism and flexibility. Hamer is more of a road grader at the high school level and will need to continue to develop his pass protection technique to be a starting Big Ten offensive tackle. He seems a bit raw at this stage of his development, but all the physical tools are there for offensive line coach Brian Callahan to mold him over the next few years.
