Things I learned from attending the Super Bowl

1. The crowd is made up of fans. I always had heard it was mostly corporate people and that regular Joe's rarely made it into a big game. Not true at all.

2. Raymond James Stadium is a nice stadium. I'd make the trip to see the Cards play there again someday.

3. We're truly blessed to be able to see our team play every home game. First Steelers' fans we had a conversation with said they were jealous of us. They put in for season tickets back in 1996 in Pittsburgh. The team is currently processing requests from 1995, but tickets are rarely ever freed up so even that year's requests could take years. They said that's why Pittsburgh fans travel so well - because many of them save their "season ticket money" to buy playoff/Super Bowl tickets...even at a premium.

4. We should not be a Cinderella team. This team has the tools to get back to the SB. Everyone on the roster now has SB experience.

I thought the stadium was just OK. It made me appreciate U of P more and having Westgate next door is really nice. Overall, I think AZ did a much better job with last years Superbowl.

Last year, when the Steelers were out here. I had a nice conversation with a group that had purchased 4 seats in our area. They said they were out from Pittsburgh and that it was cheaper for them to buy 4 scalped seats and fly to Phoenix than it was to get 4 seats that good in Pittsburgh for the game.

To me, my team being awarded the Superbowl trophy is worth staying an extra 30 min (and then wait for up to 2 hours to exit the parking garage). I also doubt that thousands of cardinals and steeler fans were carpooling together.

I say just wait around anyway... go next door and have a few cold ones. Then your drive out is no waiting

We always stay after a game and look for souvenirs, wait for the crowd to clear out, etc.

I'm glad we never park in parking garages. We parked about one mile away and drove right out.

im talking about 3 cardinals fans after we beat the eagles, f the steelers.

RJS was a nice stadium. Great field. Would have loved to run around on that bad boy. But their jumbotrons suck!!

Quite frankly, I thought the Pitt crowd was very, very mellow overall. They got loud for TD's or a really big play, but otherwise they seemed quite mellow compared to what I expected from them. I really think the Cards fans were more raucous than the Pitt fans. Pitt fans only did the "Here we go Steelers" chant 2 or 3 times.

From a fans perspective it's a great stadium. Not really a bad seat in the house, but there's not much do do around it. The big tin shed w/ the roof closed for the PO games was something amazing, though.

With success, comes a wait list. While Phx will never be a football town like Pitt or Greenbay (the only thing to do), the ticket prices are still relatively cheap and a wait list will grow.

Cinderella, no, but there are still 2 or 3 NFC teams favored ahead of the Cards to make it to the SB. They were cinderella this year because they were a #4 seed and well.. They were the Cards..

But, now this team should have confidence to play w/ anyone in the NFL and know they can beat them. It's amazing what confidence can do for a team.

Huge difference between thinking you can beat a team and knowing you can beat them.
