Friends,

I found this personally enjoyable and consider it a must watch/listen.

Some amazing stories in here about players and former GM's. Based on my quick research..... I think Lance Blanks may be the "bum".

Also some truly embarrassing stories about Terry Porter in here. And the overall mood of Sarver and how the culture changed from Colangelo to Bobby S.

Seriously...... this was a great listen.

he’s told these stories over and over. On the Lebatard podcast network over the years.

if you can find the old Mike Ryan ones he gets way way more into the nitty gritty

And yet somehow not qualitatively worse than either the Hunter or Watson hires.

I think this is because Kerr realized the error of his ways quick with Porter and put an end to that brief tenure with 40 or so games, didn’t he?

he then rebuilt the team on the fly and got them back to the Conference Finals the next year.

Porter lasted 51 games and Hunter only 41. Watson made it a full season plus.

Porter went 28-23, a better win rate than any of the seven head coaches who have followed him (and the only one above .500). Gentry finished the 2008-09 season 18-13, better than Porter, but not by leaps and bounds.

This isn't to defend Porter by any means, but only to say, in the Suns' recent legacy of jaw-droppingly bad HC hires, I would not put Porter near the top.

Porter was 28-23 with a team that won 55 games the year before and was just painfully mediocre, with an offense that somehow just stunk even with a healthy Amare and Nash. Gotta remember that Gentry’s 18-13 club lost Amare after Gentry’s 1st game to the eye injury.
