Apr. 24—One day left.
College football's 10-day spring transfer window closes at the end of Friday, meaning athletes can formally enter the portal for one more day. They can, however, withdraw or commit to a school at any time.

LB Brett Karhu (Memphis)
Summary: The 6-foot-3, 226-pound linebacker made one tackle in nine games last season at Memphis, where he played under current UNM defensive coordinator Spence Nowinsky. But Karhu was massively successful in a previous stint at Oklahoma Baptist University, making 11.5 sacks in 2023 to earn Division II All-American honors.
He has one year of eligibility remaining.
DB Caleb Coleman (Texas State)
Summary: The 6-2, 200-pound nickelback appeared in 10 games last season with Texas State, primarily on special teams. Coleman previously made six starts for the Bobcats in 2023 after spending two seasons at West Virginia; he has one year of eligibility remaining.

TE Keayen Nead
Summary: After joining the team in January, the 6-5, 262-pound former Weber State transfer projected as a starter and was considered the best blocker in a completely remade tight end room. But citing a desire to maximize his value, Nead re-entered the portal during the final week of spring practice, leaving UNM with just three tight ends.
"I only get to do this for so many years, man," he told the Journal on April 15. "I want to take advantage and say I checked all my boxes and crossed all my Ts."
After visiting Kentucky last weekend, Nead told KSR+, a subscription service from Kentucky Sports Radio, on Thursday that he was committing to BYU.
He has two years of eligibility remaining.

Summary: The 6-3, 195-pound quarterback appeared in one game on special teams last season, and opted to enter the portal after he was moved to wide receiver midway through spring practice.
He has two years of eligibility remaining.
OL Matthew Toilolo
Summary: The 6-3, 326-pound redshirt sophomore saw action in 11 games last season as a reserve and special teams player.

RB Takeshi Faupula
