The D-backs are on the board.Lars Nootbaar is slashing an underwhelming .240/.333/.354 this season in 183 PA, but his underlying metrics are more promising.He has a 9.2% barrel rate, .423 expected slug and excellent chase and whiff rates. He is under control through 2027

No need to misplace the anger of what the front office did/didn’t do towards him.

He very well could end up being a solid addition.

New #Dbacks OF Lars Nootbaar put up four consecutive 12+ HR, 40+ RBI seasons from '22-'25.

Nootbaar has a good eye at the plate, he has a career Walk/SO rate of .633, and doesn't strike out a ton (23.6%).

He'll need to stay off the IL.

He's had 7 separate IL stints since 2023.

It's painful to watch this team hit against right-handed pitching... Carroll has some serious issues this year and I REALLY hope he figures it out asap!
Nootbaar should offer something of value versus righty pitching and, unlike Kepler, he would be with us into the post season...if we get there!

Barrosa is out of options. So ARZ could lose him. ADC swap out would make sense, but then the OF is logjammed.
