The freshman forward is third for most rebounds in a single NCAA tournament by an Illini player, only trailing the 47 pulled down during the 1989 tournament and the 54 compiled during the 2005 tournament. All told, Mirkovic has 292 rebounds this season. That's the most ever by an Illinois freshman and the 11th-most in a single season by an Illini.
