The Dallas Renegades have named QB Austin Reed as their starting quarterback to open the season, over veteran QB Luis Perez, per
@ByAnthonyMiller
.

Perez, the all-time passing leader for the Renegades, will begin the year as the backup, a surprising move as we head into Week 1.

You have to wonder what head coach Rick Neuheisel saw in Reed to give him the edge in this QB battle over Perez.

A major storyline to watch as the season kicks off.

With Andrew Parker out for the season, plus Tavante Beckett nursing a camp injury
- could the #Storm use the veteran talent of LB Frank Ginda?
He's ready & available, and from what I'm hearing, wants to play this #UFL season.
At 28 years old, the former USFL DPOY still has plenty left in the tank.

Was just on the Zoom media availability with St. Louis Battlehawks head coach Ricky Proehl. I asked him about WR Hakeem Butler’s playing status after being inactive in Week 1. Coach Proehl said, “Oh he’s ready to roll.” Butler dealt with soreness and didn’t practice much last week, but his rep count increased this week. Butler is looking good to play vs. the Dallas Renegades on Tuesday. #UFL

News: The Houston #Gamblers are signing QB Sam Castronova, per

Castronova is a legendary QB in the arena space, leading the Albany Firebirds to the Championship a year ago. Had signed w/ the Showboats this offseason.

Kevin Durant said he loved living in Phoenix but doesn't have much sentimental value attached to playing here with how little time he spent here.
