I might be the oldest poster on this Board as I turn 89, today. Been a fan since 1947. I was a front runner as we won in 47 and lost in the finals in 48. And, we know what has happened since. But, as a "Glass is half full" type fan, every year has been great, especially at this time of the year.

Younger fans probably don't know how hard it was to follow the tam, since I lived in NY all my life. Pro Football Weekly was a big breakthrough. And, finding that there were FB Cardinals fans living nearby (Jeff Golin, Walter Mitchell) added to my enjoyment.

Way back when, I got to see the Cardinals in person when they played away games at the Giants, and also PS games against NY often at the Yale Bowl. I don't fly, but back in our SB year, my wife and I took three trains from NY to Flagstaff, where we rented a car and toured AZ and NM and got to see two home games, both wins, which I gladly put into my memory bank.

I feel blessed to be a Cardinals fan for such a long time.
Happy Birthday and I do believe you indeed hold the crown of oldest poster. You have me beat by 18 years.

you were so venerable...er,...experienced??..ancient??
But seriously man...respect, purely on making it this far...and doubly so for taking that trip with the anchor of the Cardinals weighing you down along the way.

The internet in so many ways is a blessing but we often forget that it only shows us a very small portion of who people really are.

as an autistic person with serious social and communication issues I have accepted the moniker of "cornholio" and "Jackass" long ago because I cant really do much to change it... but I was also a kid raised to respect my elders...and the internet allows those things to clash more than I would like and most likely way more than I realize.
that said...I appreciate you sir. Happy Birthday...may God see fit to grant you many more

Harry, I know there are a few posters that are convinced they are smarter than you and maybe they are.
However, you are clearly the standard of what posters should be.

You are never condescending and even if you aren’t correct 100% of the time your insight always makes sense.

Please update us because you can see there is a lot of concern from everyone.

That's 2 regular posters that have unexpectedly left the board over the last couple of weeks? Hopefully, they will return.

Jeff grew up in the next town and introduced me to PFW and where I could get it. I know he graduated from Johns Hopkins and was married to a MD. Hope he is well.

Talk about being smarter than Harry and some here may be, but I DOUBT that anyone knows more about FB.

PFW used to be the absolute final word when it came to NFL news.. their " The way we here it" section was like a psychic telling you who was trading for who this season...I miss that rag..used to hang out at the quik stop on the corner waiting for the magazine guy to arrive so I could be the first, lol...and because the store usually only got one edition of PFW and I didnt want anyone else to get it.
