FORT WORTH — Texas women’s basketball guard Rori Harmon went down midway through the first quarter of the Sweet 16 against Kentucky with an apparent injury to her right hand.

Harmon was catching a pass from sophomore guard Jordan Lee when it looked like Kentucky player Jordan Obi collided with the senior trying to disrupt the pass. But Harmon fell to the ground and landed on her hand.

The All-American was on the court for a few seconds and was seen grimacing and shaking her hand in pain. She continued to play in the rest of the first quarter before being substituted for sophomore guard Bryanna Preston.

She did not start the second quarter and was on the bench icing her hand. But she returned with 7 minutes, 15 seconds in the period with Texas holding a 33-15 lead. Harmon was seen flexing the hand while on the court but she wasn't asked about it during a halftime interview with ESPN reporter Holly Rowe.
