Between losing Anthony Hill Jr. to the NFL Draft and guys like Liona Lefau and Elijah Barnes entering the transfer portal, the linebacker position has become a very important position to address this offseason for Steve Sarkisian and his staff.

Tonight, the Longhorn staff addressed this position of need in a major way. Per multiple reports, the Longhorns have landed a commitment from the highly sought after Pittsburgh transfer linebacker Rasheem Biles following his trip to Austin.

Yesterday, Texas landed a commitment from Florida State linebacker Justin Cryer and today they add Biles as they continue their efforts to strengthen the middle of the defense under the newly acquired defensive coordinator Will Muschamp. Texas also hosted Cal linebacker Cade Ulvade for a visit, but it remains to be seen if they will be able to win out in that recruitment as he continues to take visits.

Keep your head on a swivel, because it looks like the Longhorns may be heating up in their portal pursuits after having a very interesting first week.
