Texas billionaire Tom Dundon is scheduled to headline the annual meeting of the Portland Metro Chamber at the Moda Center on Wednesday. The $350-per-ticket event will also feature state and local elected leaders who’ve championed an overhaul of the city-owned arena, including Portland Mayor Keith Wilson, Multnomah County Chair Jessica Vega Pederson, Oregon Senate President Rob Wagner and state Sen. Kate Lieber. Proponents of the complex public finance deal, estimated to cost about $600 million, have deemed the project essential to keep the franchise from leaving town as city officials attempt to negotiate a new lease with the team.
