OKLAHOMA CITY — Saturday, Texas A&M men's basketball is a significant underdog aiming to shock the college basketball world.
The 10-seeded Aggies are set to face two-seeded Houston, aiming to reach their first Sweet 16 since 2018. For the Cougars, a victory would secure their sixth consecutive regional semifinal appearance.
Both teams won in impressive fashion Thursday, with neither trailing in either of their first-round matchups.

A&M defeated Saint Mary's 63-50, while Houston easily beat Idaho 78-47.
The last time these two teams met was in similar circumstances.
With a right to advance to the Sweet 16 in 2024, the Cougars beat the Aggies 100-95 in overtime. A&M forward Andersson Garcia made a 3-pointer at the buzzer in regulation to force the extra period. However, Houston pulled ahead and eventually lost to Duke in the next round.
While not many appear to be giving the Aggies a chance Saturday, they call it March Madness for a reason.
