Texas A&M has lost another depth piece in the backcourt, as a second guard has officially entered the transfer portal.

On Monday, it was reported that sophomore guard Noah Shelby will seek a new home for the 2026–27 season. The move doesn’t come as a major surprise as Shelby logged just 22 total minutes this year and appeared in only one SEC game, where he did not record a stat.

A former top‑20 guard in the 2022 class, Shelby was known for his perimeter shooting coming out of high school. Before arriving in College Station, he walked on at Kansas, averaging 3.9 points while shooting 35% from the field and 33% from three‑point range.

Shelby will now look for a program where he can carve out a larger role and contribute consistently at his next stop.

Below is his announcement.
