Texas A&M's 2027 recruiting class is taking shape and is still in contention for the No. 1-overall ranking, and along the offensive line, second-year O-line coach Adam Cushing has already proven his ability to recruit at a high level, landing six offensive line commits in the 2025 signing class, combined with four SEC starters through the transfer portal this offseason.
In the 2026 signing class, head coach Mike Elko and Cushing signed three more offensive linemen, including blue-chip four-star guard Samuel Roseborough, who chose the Aggies over the Texas Longhorns. Heading into the 2026 season, Texas A&M's offensive line will be decided this fall, as both guard positions will be up for grabs, while transfers Tyree Adams and Wilkin Formby are in line to start at left and right tackle.
In the 2027 class, Elko and Cushing are getting closer to landing a commitment from five-star offensive lineman Ismael Camara, who was recently spotted at the Hero 7-7 competition this weekend in Dallas, Texas, and caught up with AggieYell insider Jaxson Callaway. Despite playing just 12 games at Gilmer HS, Camara has received over 40 offers and is viewed as an elite interior offensive lineman.
Right now, Texas and Oregon look like the Aggies' primary competition, and similar to every one of Texas A&M's ten commits in the 2027 cycle, the family-like environment College Station offers has stood out for the talented blocker.
Also praising the Aggie fan base, Camara stated that Adam Cushing is "just different than everybody else" in terms of development, which will be the main selling point moving forward. Cushing will have his hands full this season after losing five veteran offensive linemen to the 2026 NFL Draft, and if the new O-line holds up, this will only help his future recruiting success, and potentially signing Camara.
Ismael Camara will take an official visit to Texas A&M on May 28.
According to Rivals, Ismael Camara is currently positioned as the 32nd-ranked prospect, 3rd-ranked interior offensive lineman.
