The Nolan Wells case has been in the national news since it was discovered that Wells did not return from a boat trip with friends on the Fourth of July. Later, his body was found, and an investigation was started.

Several celebrities have gotten involved in this case, including director Tyler Perry and former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

Now, former 49ers receiver Terrell Owens has also gotten involved. In a video he posted recently, T.O. wants President Trump to intervene in the case.

“If you can make a call to overturn a call for a soccer match then you can make a call for the JUSTICE of Nolan Wells,” he said.

“The justice system it’s failing us,” he added. It's interesting to see Owens asking Trump for help in a situation like this that might have involved foul play, although the police in Mississippi have yet to confirm the cause of death.

Owen's plea comes with frustration over how slowly the investigation is progressing, including the official autopsy not yet being released.

Most likely, the only way Trump or any federal government official gets involved is if it is discovered that Wells' civil rights had been violated and if this turns into a hate crime.

Again, it is the early stages of the investigation, and officials in Mississippi are asking for patience and asking the public not to jump to any conclusions. The family has already met with the District Attorney in the case, and they will gather up the evidence and let a grand jury decide if this case should go to trial.
