After dropping the first set, American Amanda Anisimova rallied to defeat Alexandra Eala in three sets at the Cincinnati Open.
In a viral video shared via Twitter/X by @TheTennisLetter, Tennis Channel analysts debated during the third set of the match at Lindner Family Tennis Center what Anisimova was drinking midway through the second set, during a changeover.
"What is that, Lindsay?" Brett Haber said during the broadcast, as Anisimova took a drink.
"Could it be apple cider, Brett?" Lindsay Davenport replied.
"I mean I would never suggest that a player was drinking a beer in the middle of a match but -" Haber said.
"I've never seen that," Davenport added.
"That's certainly what it looked like," Haber said. "I mean it could be non-alcoholic? It could be cider? It could be anything. We don't know."
