The Tennessee Volunteers women's basketball program really needed an impactful commitment.

At one point earlier in the week, there were zero players on the Vols' current roster due to a transfer portal exodus.

Now, the Vols have two.

The latest is Northern Arizona transfer Naomi White, who was a star in her freshman season at NAU. Talia Goodman reported the transfer on Thursday afternoon.

This season, White averaged 20.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game.

The Volunteers had already gotten a transfer commitment from Liberty's Avery Mills, who averaged 15 points per game in 2025-26.

It's a start, although there's still lots of work to be done.

Rocky Top Insider has reported that eight Vols are heading for the transfer portal:

  • Deniya Prawl
  • Alyssa Latham
  • Kaniya Boyd
  • Lauren Hurst
  • Mia Pauldo
  • Mya Pauldo
  • Talaysia Cooper
  • Jaida Civil

Four players ran out of eligibility: Janiah Barker, Zee Spearman, Nya Robertson and Jersey Wolfenbarger.

Top-tier recruit Oliviyah Edwards was committed but is intending to end up elsewhere now.

The Vols also had Kaiya Wynn leave the program before the season was over, and Ruby Whitehorn had left the program before the 2025-26 season began.

Slowly but surely, Caldwell is building things back up. The roster still has plenty of openings to be filled.
