The Tennessee Titans are making final adjustments before taking on the Kansas City Chiefs at Nissan Stadium on Sunday, and have updated the injury status of a potential depth piece.
After a solid week of practice, edge Ali Gaye was downgraded from questionable to out for the contest, delaying his return from injured reserve. This is another hit for a defense that has been ravaged by injuries in recent weeks and will enter the game with significant health concerns.
Gaye will join leading tackler linebacker Cedric Gray (concussion), outside linebacker Femi Oladejo (fibula), and wide receiver Bryce Oliver (knee) on the sidelines on Sunday and will have to wait until Week 17 to make his return.
It's the latest setback for Gaye, who had a solid training camp before suffering an early-season injury. He worked his way back into seeing action in two games, making one tackle in October, but injured his knee against the Indianapolis Colts and landed on injured reserve.
The Titans and Chiefs will take the field on Sunday at Nissan Stadium in Nashville.

#Titans rule OUT edge Ali Gaye (knee).
He’d originally been listed as questionable.
