Tennessee baseball signee Trevor Condon, an outfielder, was selected No. 13 overall in the 2026 MLB Draft by the St. Louis Cardinals.
The No. 13 overall pick has a slot value of $5,661,300. As a first-round pick, Condon is expected to sign with the Cardinals and forgo college.
Condon, among the 11 Tennessee signees invited to the MLB draft combine, was the second Vols signee selected in this year's draft and was picked just one spot after two-way prospect Jared Grindlinger was taken No. 12 overall by the Los Angeles Angels.
Condon, an outfielder from Woodstock, Georgia, was among the highest-ranked draft prospects in Tennessee's 2026 recruiting class. MLB Pipeline had him at No. 13 overall entering the draft, which was fifth-highest among all high schoolers, and ESPN ranked him as the No. 16 prospect.
He committed to Tennessee in September 2024, flipping from the original commitment he made to Miami as a 14-year-old in 2022.
The 5-foot-11, 175-pound left-handed-hitting outfielder is known to have game-changing speed. MLB Pipeline compared his "tools and flair" to former Vols star Drew Gilbert, who now plays for the San Francisco Giants.
Condon was the Georgia Gatorade Player of the Year this season after leading Etowah High School to a 6A state championship. Through 36 games, he hit .504 with nine home runs, 42 RBIs and 17 doubles while stealing 15 bases.
