Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2027 football signing class. The Vols offered a scholarship to Texas Tech four-star wide receiver commit Benny Easter Jr.

“After a great conversation with coach Kelsey Pope, I am blessed to have an offer from Vol football,” Easter Jr. announced.

The 6-foot-2, 190-pound prospect is from Summer Creek High School in Humble, Texas. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 30 wide receiver in the class and the No. 33 player in Texas.

Texas Tech offered Easter Jr. a scholarship on Nov. 11, 2025. He committed to the Red Raiders on Nov. 20, 2025.

Colorado State was the first school to offer Easter a scholarship on Jan. 10, 2025. Other schools to offer him scholarships include Kansas, UTEP, Oklahoma State, Houston, Kentucky, Ole Miss, LSU, Alabama, Texas, Arkansas, Ohio State and Oklahoma.

Tennessee has four commitments in its 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo, defensive lineman Kadin Fife and quarterback Derrick Baker.
