Tennessee women's basketball 2026 signee Oliviyah Edwards requested to be released from her national letter of intent, according to Talia Goodman of Rivals.

"Five-Star Plus+ power forward Oliviyah Edwards has requested to be released from her signing with Tennessee, Talia Goodman reports," Rivals announced.

Edwards is a five-star prospect, and the No. 2-ranked player in the ESPN SportsCenter Next 100. She is the highest-ranked prospect to sign with Tennessee since Jordan Horston in 2019.

Edwards committed to Tennessee over Florida, LSU, South Carolina, Tennessee, USC and Washington.

"Big Oh to the Big Orange," Edwards announced in Sept. 2025. "I’m blessed and excited to announce my commitment to the University of Tennessee! Go Lady Vols."

The 2026-27 basketball season will be the third under head coach Kim Caldwell.

In two seasons as the Lady Vols’ head coach, she has complied a 40–24 (16-16 SEC) record and appeared in two NCAA Tournaments, including the 2025 Sweet 16.
