Tennessee baseball starting pitcher Landon Mack was ruled out of the Vols' game against Oklahoma on May 16 and will miss his second consecutive start.
Tennessee (36-18, 14-14 SEC) has not yet announced who will start the regular season finale against the Sooners (31-10, 13-15), which will begin approximately 45 minutes after the second game finishes on May 16. Game 2 will resume in the seventh inning at 2 p.m. ET after being suspended due to inclement weather the night prior.
Mack missed his last scheduled start against Texas on May 10 due to arm soreness, and coach Josh Elander said before the Oklahoma series that Mack would be day-to-day moving forward.
"I mean, he's been moving around, which is a good sign. He's been playing catch, and him and I just talked, basically, 'Hey,' in the dugout pregame," Elander said on May 12 after the team's midweek win over Belmont.
Mack, a sophomore, transferred to Tennessee from Rutgers ahead of this season and made 12 starts before missing his first last week. He has a 4.67 ERA in 61.2 innings.
His last start came at Kentucky on April 26, when he threw more than 100 pitches for just the second time this season. It was one of his best performances of the year, as he compiled six innings, allowing one run and six hits with six strikeouts.
The SEC Tournament begins on May 19.
