Take a chance at a McCarthy or Richardson?

He was terrible in college too.

That might be the single stupidest selection I've ever seen. An objectively terrible college player going in the top 5 because he can throw bombs in a training facility with no pads and no defense.

Richardson wasn't worth a third round pick the year he was drafted. I wouldn't take him for a 7th unless the Colts are paying his contract for us.
Haha he's not much better than Logan Thomas.

I laughed at Richardson going that high, and the same with McCarthy. Horrible picks that were obviously horrible when the picks were made because you really had to explain the pick.

I told folks before that draft Richardson was gonna go top 10... he was the flavor of the month at the time. The NFL thought they were on the verge of the next big thing with dual threat QB's throwing for 4000 and running for 1000 and offensive records were going to fall by the wayside.
They werent.
Now we are back to the trusty..."He needs to be able to manage an NFL offense"

Why is the actual cost to us? Richardson is a much better prospect than Simpson.
Richardson - the guy who took himself out of a game because a run tired him out which resulted in his being benched for Flacco - that guy? LOL

He mad a mistake. We’ve seen the cards default to a run up the middle after a Kyler scramble. That’s a coaching thing.

Again, would you rather have Slovis? A guy with zero future in the NFL?

right? Get a guy with talent that the door is definitely not closed on...yet

versus a guy who barely has enough talent to stick on a PS

Richardson is probably gonna flame out and be selling cable TV subscriptions door to door in five years... but that 10% chance that he manages to put it together is worth a small risk

Totally. If there’s a 5% chance he can be Streveler or Justin Fields you want to take a look.

Is there no way he can be the next Malik Willis? It’s not worth a chance to pass on the next Kei’Trel Clark to find out?

Slovis doesn't create false hope and unnecessary nois. You have as much starting potential as Anthony Richardson. The guy is total buns at playing QB in the NFL.

You’re ready to say that after 350 pro passing attempts? He’s 8-7 as a starter.

With the Cardinals missing out on Ty Simpson, Anthony Richardson becomes a very realistic trade option as a stopgap starter before a loaded 2027 draft.Arizona could acquire the 2023 No. 4 overall pick from the Colts for a late-round pick swap to pair alongside Jeremiyah Love.

I’ll say here that I would be wholly against trading for Anthony Richardson as a starter. Monti again fumbled the bad by putting us in a position where people are putting this forward as an idea.
