Who was the credit given to? The OL or James? Some interesting trivia I heard during a broadcast. James had the fewest negative run plays out of all starting RB's in 2006.

i don't think i would base any argument FOR the Cards and use the Pats as the team for comparison. In that respect, how many teams signed FA's to a long term deal who didn't work out and then had to swallow dead cap costs for a few years?
No one has a crystal ball. It happens to all teams from time to time.
How many draftees did the Patriots cut in the past two years?

Why not. This shows that even the Patriots can make mistakes. Why do you expect Graves to be perfect?
Graves and perfect may never be used in the same sentence again. Of course, nobody is perfect but i thought it's pretty much a stretch to compare Graves to the team with the best front office in the league. NE cuts draft picks because their roster is loaded with talent. Graves cuts 3rd rounders because of total mis-evaluation on the guy's ability to play in the NFL. Let's start out by comparing Graves to teams like the Lions. That would be more realistic. Why not. This shows that even the Patriots can make mistakes. Why do you expect Graves to be perfect?

I don't hate the guy either, but that doesn't mean he's a great defensive player. There are lots of nice guys who played in college who aren't suited for the NFL. Perhaps he is one of them. Perhaps not. I just hope the Cards don't pay him all that money to find out, especially since it is rather obvious after this season that he is not the player we need.
I thought T Smith did a great job this year. He was knocking people on there arses everygame. He really looks like he loves his job to me.
I thought he was solid too, but that he fell victim to us becoming a more pass oriented team with Warner in there.
That was the biggest improvement I saw. But how bad has James become if we have the least negative rushes, but still dont have a good running game. Some interesting trivia I heard during a broadcast. James had the fewest negative run plays out of all starting RB's in 2006.
The ground game was progressing fine until Levi was injured. Is that just a coincidence?

two things:
it was musical chairs along the o-line from games 1 through 9 or so--
the other is that after Warner came back post Carolina, I think defenses decided to take their chances with him rather than the running game
If I were a defensive coordinator facing the Cards with Warner at QB, I would want the ball in his hands until he makes me pay for it -- I may give up passing yards, but figure that my defense will get the interception and/or sack and fumble that turns the game.
Did Levi play in the Pittsburgh or Seattle games? I can't remember.
I used to think Wells was a waste at OG, but was ok at OT.Those who dislike Levi will continue to do so. Same with those who like him. Just like how we treat Reggie Wells.
What matters is what Grimm and Whisenhunt think of Levi.

Yes, Dennis Green will offer him a FA contract as soon as he gets the HC job with Oakland.
