TUESDAY​

Boys Lacrosse​

Class 1A-Region 3 quarterfinals​


Canterbury 17, Bishop Verot 3: The Cougars rolled, as expected, against the rival Vikings.

Aubrey Rogers 17, Cypress Lake 2: The Patriots earned themselves a rematch with Canterbury after securing a decisive win against the Panthers.

Flag Football​

Class 2A-District 13 semifinals​


Bishop Verot 13, Estero 0: The Vikings came through in windy conditions, pitching a shutout on defense. Lila Dinkel threw for 86 yards and a touchdown, adding 111 rushing yards and another score, along with 8 flag pulls and 3 flag pulls for loss on defense. Grace Riley had 53 yards receiving and a touchdown, Rylee Kelly had 7 flag pulls and a sack, and Courtney Kreitzer had an interception at the end of the game to seal things.

Bonita Springs 19, Cypress Lake 0: The Bull Sharks (17-0) will take on Bishop Verot (13-0) in a battle of two of the eight remaining unbeatens statewide. Bonita Springs has put together 12 straight shutouts dating back to Feb. 28 against Leto.

Class 3A-District 11 semifinals​


Mariner 16, North Fort Myers 0: The Tritons beat their rival with a shutout on the scoreboard, moving onto the district title game.

Fort Myers 14, Ida Baker 6: The Green Wave beat the Bulldogs for the second time this season to advance to the district final.

Class 3A-District 12 semifinals​


Gateway Charter 31, Gateway 2: The Griffins beat the Eagles in this rivalry, thanks in part to 206 passing yards, 63 rushing yards, and five total touchdowns from Jazmyn Johnson. Bella Burgess was outstanding once again, hauling in four passes for 99 yards with two touchdowns, adding a pair of picks on defense.

Riverdale 20, Lehigh 12: The Raiders are going back to the Class 3A-District 12 title game in hopes of repeating as champions.

Softball​


Bishop Verot 5, Gulf Coast 4: The Vikings walked off the Sharks at the Bill Longshore Tournament last week and score the game-winning runs in the bottom of the sixth. Willa Pagnutti was 2-for-2 with a triple, a pair of walks, two RBI, two runs scored, and three stolen bases. Payton Breadmore pitched 5 1/3 innings, allowing five hits, three earned runs, and two walks with nine strikeouts. Paige Betterman got the win in relief, tossing 1 2/3 scoreless innings with four strikeouts.

St. John Neumann 12, Aubrey Rogers 6: Karsyn Walters was 3-for-4 with an RBI, while Caroline Porter was 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI and a walk. Porter struck out seven in seven innings in the circle.

SFCA 11, Oasis 10: Bella Gee and Adelyn Emery led the team with two hits each. Jada DiMaria was the winning pitcher for the King’s.

Class 1A-Region 3 quarterfinals​


Community School 18, Barron Collier 3: The Seahawks had a near identical result against the Cougars in their regional quarterfinal game relative to the district title clash.

Flag Football​

Class 2A-District 13 quarterfinals​


Bonita Springs 46, Dunbar 0: Kinsley Brereton completed 17 of 32 passes for 160 yards with 7 touchdowns to six different receivers. Karol Blanco-Ortiz had 4 receptions for 36 yards and a pair of scores.

Cypress Lake 31, Island Coast 0: Lilly Witz led the Panthers with three interceptions, one rushing touchdown, and a pair of receiving touchdowns. Addison Apicella had a rushing touchdown and Claire Martin had a receiving touchdown.

Bishop Verot 33, South Fort Myers 6: Lila Dinkel completed 10 of 19 passes for 100 yards with two touchdowns, adding 102 rushing yards and two more scores on the ground. Caroline Ward caught four passes for 35 yards and a score, adding a 5-yard rushing touchdown. Dinkel added three sacks and an interception.

North Fort Myers 35, Cape Coral 0: Kenlee Dominguez went off, rushing 13 times for 149 yards with three touchdowns, adding four receptions for 21 yards and another score.

Palmetto Ridge 13, Seacrest 0: Tessa Delashmet struck out 11 batters as the right-handed pitcher led Palmetto Ridge past Seacrest Country Day. Delashmet surrendered two hits and zero runs over five innings while walking two.

SFCA 17, Gateway 0: Adelyn Emery, Jada DiMaria and Braelyn Davis each had 3 hits for the King’s. Jada DiMaria was the winning pitcher and only allowed 2 hits.
