A suspect has been arrested in connection with the shooting of Missouri Tigers running back Ahmad Hardy.

Hardy was shot in the upper leg while attending an outdoor concert in Mississippi on Sunday, May 10. According to the outlets, he had surgery hours after the incident and has since returned home to Missouri.

"The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are possible," Davis told AP.

“Ahmad is deeply loved by his teammates, coaches, friends, family and fans. We will continue to stand beside him and his family through this difficult time, offering our love, prayers, strength and support,” said the organization on May 11. “A timeline for his return to football activities is unknown at this time.
