to carry on the tradition:

Should be a fun game to watch/listen to!!!!!!!!

on to the value-added portion of our show, have a read:

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/columns/story?columnist=lawrence_mitch&id=1958764

quoted from the article:
"Kevin Garnett and the Wolves will take a 16-12 record into Tuesday's game against the 1996 Chicago Bulls, er, the Phoenix Suns."

THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!

given that type of praise, its only natural we go out there and lay an egg...

Am I reading Yahoo right? Nash has 12 assists AT THE HALF????

Man, I wish I could watch some of these games.

Welcome aboard Sam.

That is price of having Q. There are nights he makes you pull out your hair and others when he hits 9 of them and destroys the other team. Fortunately, he works hard on defense, rebounding, etc. to make up for these nights when they aren't dropping. Sort of.

4 - 17....

I was wondering if that's a bit too much. LOL

Well, we won the game. I won't complain too much.

Sounds like every other starters have great games. Nash's 16 assists and 20pts on 54% shooting is pretty good.

By the way, one positive thing is Hunter played more than 20mins which is a GREAT thing.

He shot well and he got fouled out which is what I predicted. He did the part. Credits to him and credit to Antoni's final discovery of Sun's bench talent. hahahah.

I would rather foul the guy than giving him free layups.

Hunter was called for fouls that were not called on the other end. KG is a superstar and the refs treat him as such. However, I will say that Hunter did not make dumb fouls like Jake is so often guilty of.

Yeah. I knew Hunter is going to foul out if he plays long mins and that's EXACTLY why he should be on the court to take fouls that Marion/Amare would have got.

Can you imagine Amare was in foul trouble early on?? That's why Hunter is important.

I believe the calls are called EVEN throughout the game (well, most of the time) and the refs just need to find some guys to call upon. Hunter is not an all-star so he would usually receive more calls.

Overall, it's a smart move to put Hunter on KG. Let KG have his night, and let Suns have 27-4 record.

The Trib this morning had a funny tidbit--some Timberwolves fan during the game yelled at D'Antoni "all Stoudemire can do is dunk," to which D'Antoni replied "and he can get 50 doing it."

You have to like the way D'Antoni handles himself with the fans. He always seems to have a good answer for them.

You have to give credits to Antoni. His personality fits perfectly with this young, energetic team.

Do you think the team would act the same under strict coaches like Pop and Sloan? I don't think so.

The coach's personality matches the players. I like that.

On ESPN last night they asked Amare what he thought about Coach D - he said that D'Antoni mainly works on teaching them strategy, teaching them how the game really happens, and then letting them play; that as a young player on a young team, Amare felt like they all have an awful lot to learn from this coach. Sounded respectful and comfortable at the same time.

He also said his own 'defensive IQ' needs to come up quite a bit, but he's trying to play the game right now using all the things he worked on this summer. (In response to that 'other' thread. :p )

Amare actually said that? GOOD for him. :) At least he knows he needs to improve on that aspect. hehe You learn from your mistakes and weakness to become a better player. I know Kobe did in his early career.

Minnesota is really taking a nosedive. They got whipped on by the expansion Bobcats tonight. Something tells me that there might be some trades in Minnesota's future.
