Like the suns going big with smith crowder this dude Hope they play well in court Should be a fun season
Dang, this guy gets up! That little highlight reel shows more authority at the rim than Ayton has shown so far in his entire career.
Suns waive Damian Jones. The Suns now have an open roster spot. Here is a link to the story. By Kellan Olson Arizona Sports: The move gives the Suns an open roster spot. With a 20-10 record and looking the part of a player in the Western Conference, the Suns are certainly in a position to potentially land a name on the buyout market. That tends to heat up right after the trade deadline, which is on March 25. https://arizonasports.com/story/2555157/phoenix-suns-waive-center-damian-jones/
Really? Why? Jones has been the very definition of worthless on court. At least on occasion Galloway heats up and provides a spark.
I think Galloway has more value than Damian Jones. He is a shooter. A team can never have enough of those. I think the Suns are planning to add a waived player, likely a 4/5. My guess is they have someone in mind.
Are you nuts? Damian Jones completely sucks. He was unplayable. Galloway on the other hand can be instant offense, and is good insurance for injuries. I get we need another big man, but Jones was not the answer.
Jones potentially fills an emergency need. If he's the last big man standing, who would you rather force into that role, Cam Johnson? Galloway is fool's gold, whose occasional "hot" game masks the fact that he's the antithesis of what the Suns are trying to accomplish offensively.
I think there is a bit of truth in what you say about Galloway, but Jones was by far the worst player on the Suns roster. Think of it this way--if the Suns do pick up a big man, he will almost certainly be better than Damien Jones was. Galloway is one of those guys you hold in reserve that can kill teams. And besides, he's always going to be defended as a shooting threat, so whether he actually makes a ton of shots is irrelevant.
thinking the same, id love that, great guy to push ayton. But he wanted out of houston because backing up Wood. Im not sure he wants to be a backup
Damian Jones was only making $785,285 with the Suns so waiving him didn't free much money but it creates a roster spot.
