The Phoenix Suns continue a five-game homestand Thursday, Jan. 29, against the Detroit Pistons at Mortgage Matchup Center.
The 7 p.m., game will be televised on 3TV and Arizona's Family Sports.
The Suns (28-19) lost their first matchup against Detroit, 108-105, Jan. 15, during their six-game road trip.
The Pistons (34-11) have the best record in the Eastern Conference. They are 15-6 on the road while the Suns have the same record at home.
“Game tonight, you never want to give the other team any fuel, but you never want to get punked,” Suns big Oso Ighodaro said after Thursday’s morning shootaround.
“You just got to match physicality with physicality, force with force. Some guys are going to do what they do, crossing the line or whatnot, but you got to stay true to who you are and at the same time, you can't ever get punked on the floor,'' he said. "As soon as you let someone do that, then they have an advantage over you. I think we can still be true to our identity and not go over the line, but we're never going to let anyone push us around."
The Suns are without Devin Booker (right ankle sprain) and Jalen Green (right hamstring injury management), who was downgraded from questionable to out.
Collin Gillespie has been upgraded from questionable to available with a sprained right shooting hand. The Suns are starting Grayson Allen, Dillon Brooks, Royce O’Neale, Mark Williams and Gillespie.
The Pistons are down Caris Levert (illness). They are starting Cade Cunningham, Duncan Robinson, Ausar Thompson, Tobias Harris and Jalen Duren.
