i still can't believe we got this dude - brace yourself cuz imma bout to say something nice about ish - he traded kd for jalen green - dillon brooks - 5 sweetners and the clear cut highest graded 7 foot center in the draft - that's better than i thought he'd do

I'm not sure why Gambo is being criticized for breaking the Suns selection of Khaman Maluach, but some are doing it.

I was hoping someone would take Maluach to be honest. I think he has high bust potential. He so big he might get played off the floor and his basketball IQ is underdeveloped considering he started playing so late.

If things broke differently we could have come away with Collin Murray Boyles and Mark Williams for a bit more balance. Time will tell.

Maluach said Booker was very complimentary and nice to him when he visited with him a couple times during the 2024 Paris Olympics. The South Sudan center also played against Booker and Team USA in an exhibition game in London and during the Olympics last year.

“We had a dinner and I went to say what’s up to him because he had his own table. He said to, ‘Go do it,’ and then I shook his hand. He told me, ‘I’ll see you in a year.’ But when he said, ‘See you in a year,’ I know he meant the NBA. Now, I’ll see you with the Phoenix Suns. I will be his teammate.”

I like the pick, and it's probably the one I was most rooting for, but there were a lot of questions about him after the combine. He's for sure going to be a high possibility of bust kind of prospect.

Im stoked about this pick. I cant recall the suns ever making a pick like this. Kid is part Mutombo, part Ewing... just hope his durability and toughness lean more Mutombo
Now, we need to get him and Book working on the two man game...this kid passes well so the pick and roll could be in serious affect..get flash backs of Stockton/Malone

Nice piece. He’s doing valuable work on his body. And if he keeps dedicated that shot and handles will make him dangerous.
The emotion he showed being drafted. The idea he has that he has to represent an entire country, instead of having an entitled attitude, I have no doubt the hard work will be there.

Richards contract next season is 100% not guaranteed which means effectively a team option. He is gone.

That's too bad. I remember he put up big numbers in his first game as a Sun and there were some on this board who thought he was a permanent solution. Although I didn't agree with that, it seems like he has enough potential that it would be foolish to give up on him. Surely the front office is not so stupid as to believe Maluach will be ready for major minutes any time soon.

I think you'll see him traded tomorrow for 2nd round pick(s) or included in a larger trade.

I love the kid. His character reminds me of Dikembe.

Beyond that, we just aren't in a position to play it safe. You have to take big swings.

This board's infatution with Bol baffles me. Dude is not an NBA player. He's been the league for six years. What you see is what you get.
I love watching him play. He's the only player I enjoyed watching the last two years.I think I'd enjoy watching the suns go 0-82 if he played 40 minutes per game.
