The Suns are 2-2 thus far on this six game road trip. If they could finish .500 or above on the trip it would be a success.

Looking ahead, the Suns return home for five games as follows:

Heat, Sunday on 1-25
Nets, Tuesday, 1-27
Pistons, Thursday, 1-29
Cavaliers, Friday 1-30
Clippers, Sunday, 2-1

Suns presently being only 4 games behind the 2nd place Spurs is something to think about.

I'm not really worried. Suns will get no worse than the 5th seed as long as we don't have major injuries.

We are just better than the Lakers, and Twolves. Very possible we pass the Rockets as well.

Only 1 game back of the 4 seed past the midway point of the season is a ludicrous turn of events from where I expected this team to be this season.
Same. I think I might go so far as to say I like our chances in a playoff series against anyone other than OKC or Denver if Jalen Green brings what I think he will to the team.

no he can't. Grayson is far more physical. Royce needs to be a trade piece. Suns need a legit PF
i love me some amazin grayson but oneale plays bigs better - grayson can get a couple steals before the drive gets going or when the shooter is bringing the ball up to shoot but when gillespie isn't in they go at grayson

oneale is tied 9th in the nba for 3s made - not because he's a better 3 pt shooter (id say they're on the same level) but because oneale has proven to be more durable

plus i love to see graylespie running the bench boys - two ball handlers (plus oso) means less turnovers to go with the bench's stellar defense - im with @Evil Ash on this one

is there a possibility gillespie starts?

t-wolves figured some things out and are playing good again - they've already hurdled the lukas and rockets

My best guess? No, not with Book and Green. Too many guards. Here's what I think our new starting lineup will be:

Book
Green
O'Neale
Brooks
Williams

Assuming Williams is playing.

Going into the season I felt the same way but not so much now. Unless we can get at least a league average PF for him, I'd rather stay with Royce. IMO playing Royce (and Dillon) at the 4 spot gives us more than we'd get from an end of the bench PF. It's a gamble but as long as we keep Williams upright, we can survive the mismatch at the 4. Unless we're moving him to solve cap issues, I'd rather we address the PF spot during the offseason when we should hopefully have a better idea of how far away Fleming is.

It's a game day decision if Mark Williams plays in back-to-back games.
