If CG were still hurt, it'd be wise to rest him a couple of games whenever GA is healthy, and give Bouyea some playing time. In POs, we'd need all of our guys shooting 3s well, to have a chance to advance.

the season is nearing it's end and our seeding has yet to improve - this is the part where one would typically add low expectations to the sauce making it taste all the better but i'm fine with the sauce as is

we're the 7th seed locos and that's the way it is jack - im not going to say "we shouldn't even be here" because "your record says what you are" - the 7th seed isn't the best and it isn't the worst - there are 15 teams in the western conference

the pack above us - nuggets rockets wolves lakers - they've consistently stayed above us - the rockets and lakers are almost as new as we are but they aren't as tight as we are - the rockets don't like eachother on the court and the lakers have ayton

i'd love to play either or both in the playoffs - same with the wolves - only teams i truly fear are the nuggets spurs and okc - the general sentiment across the board is we'll hope to win the play-in and fall against the spurs or thunder

if that happens that happens but it hasn't happened yet and the nba playoffs can turn into a mexican soap opera at any moment - this is our first year together - there's no telling what to expect because our starting lineup has basically never played together

book jalen brooks oneale williams

those are our real powerball numbers - we've been buying quick picks all season having fate/injury decide our numbers - we do win more than we lose so you won't hear me complaining - only yearning

i say embrace the 7th seed and the obstacles that come with it - what doesn't kill you right? bright side is the play-in would hopefully have us being tested by multiple teams - we can use the experience to build off of - to find out who we're going to pay and how much because again we still haven't seen our starters play

Not sure we'll see our starters in the playins either. If we do, they're probably so rusted and our other guys are worn down and busted, so I expect us to be swept or maybe go 4-1... But that's okay. Been a great season. Keep this group together and make some smart roster tweaks, and we'll be even better next year.

Only difference with this take is I think we see Williams and Brooks before the season ends. I never expected a deep playoff run from this squad so avoiding the sweep is key.

I'd like see us hang onto 7 if we can't move up so we get homw court through the play in. The team and fans deserve that final high before the season is over.

It's the combo of removing a plus defender and adding a minus defender (in Green) to the starting lineup and rotation.
Look I know Dillon has a reputation as a plus defender and 3 years ago he actually was one, but he is below average statistically this season.

I think the bigger factor is Jalen Green's shooting percentage is a big drop from Dillon's

there's points in games where this suns team just absolutely locks in defensively - and it happens more when brooks us on the floor

and jalen was good last night (off ball) between the defense and rebounds

There are more than a few losses in the last month that would have been wins had Dillon been playing. I'm convinced of that. Bodes well for next season at least.
Probably. But I am not sure how it's going to go with Jalen, Dillon and Book all in the same lineup. Both Dillon and Jalen are not the best distributors and tend to take to many shots.

A friendly reminder:The Suns’ lineup of Booker-Gillespie-Brooks-O’Neale-Williams is the 3rd-best lineup in the NBA (min. 250 MIN), with a NETRTG of 9.9.The Suns will be good again, as long as they can get healthy.

Brooks is big, plays defense, scores and most importantly brings attitude and toughness that rubs off on the other guys.

Team is not the same without him.

i kinda wanna run it back next year as is - keep as many people as we can keep building chemistry

we'll be better next year but we don't know how good we are - team still hasn't played together - jalen has seen no time with dillon and williams - same could be said for our rookies

good teams get better because they stay together - we're still in year 1 of learning a new system and coach and we're competing with the likes of boston okc and san antonio - you're damn right i want to see everyone back

i'm not super bummed by the 5 game road skid - injuries played a big part but those same injuries allowed others to play their part - fleming and dunn paired very well against toronto - maluach too

we all wanted development - just not the losses that came with it - i was sad but fully enjoyed the rise in play from our young core - i hope we can afford gillespie but dunn oso fleming and maluach are all ours

My expectation would be that both Dillon Brooks and Mark Williams get back into the Suns lineup at some point next week. More than likely Brooks back early in next week's road trip and Mark back later in the road trip.
