sunday morning republic notes...

quite a bit of cardinals stuff..one section caught my attention:

talking about how holgrem overhauled the defense of seattle..and 2 of them are noted: norman hand - who it says new orleans offered to trade to the cardinals - and chike okeafor - we did not sign because of back concerns..last week okeafor had a sack, an interception and a forced fumble...

I was speculating...anyone think new orleans would have tossed hand into the deal we made with new orleans (swapping 1st round picks, etc)...I think they would have - it was a salary dump and all they got for him was a 6th round pick..I wonder if we countered with Thomas jones? they need a backup running back...

Hand had a big contract $$..but I think seattle redid the deal...


oh well...no more complaining from me today..cardinal koolaid for the rest of the day (I will need it - it will be hot at SDS)..

however...if our defensive line gets blown out allday and chike and norman play well.....never mind..

I was crying on draft day to trade our 3rd round pick (which ended up being gerald hayes) to washington for fred smoot and big daddy wilkinson...oh well again...

I read 105. Probably around 115 on the field.

personally....hot is fine with me..

Next week - I hope we have a record heat wave when we play the Packers.......this has to give our players an advantage over theirs..and maybe some of their fans will either melt or better yet...stay home.

Hand, Smoot, Wilkenson and Coleman would have given us a bigger advantage.

I wrote Paola Boivin, who was bemoaning the poor gate. I pointed out that the lack of AZR coverage (most of it negative when they bothered to write something) didn't help attendance any.

The republic is colangelos mouth piece and they will slant negative stuff towards the Cards and Yotes while propping the Suns and D-Bax. I find it interesting to me that I follow and support the Cards and Yotes more than the Suns and DBax. For me it goes Cards, Yotes, Suns and DBax - in that order. I want to see them all win - as a homer - but my allegiances run more to the non-Colangelo teams
