Title holders VfB Stuttgart have once more reached the German Cup final thanks to a 2-1 win after extra-time against Freiburg on Wednesday evening.
Tiago Tomas scored the winner in the final minutes of extra-time as the home crowd exploded in celebrations.
Freiburg had taken the lead thanks to Maximilian Eggestein in the 28th minute but Deniz Undav levelled for the hosts in the 70th.
Stuttgart will now have the chance to defend their title against record champions Bayern Munich on May 23 in Berlin. Bayern defeated Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 on Tuesday.
