Steven Gerrard was “surprised and flattered” to hear Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp tip him as his successor, but the Rangers boss insists he wants the German to remain at Anfield for many years to come. Klopp made the comments after being asked in an interview with FourFourTwo magazine about his working relationship with non-executive director Kenny Dalglish. If Liverpool were to sack me tomorrow, then maybe Kenny would be the first choice to replace me, but they would probably bring Stevie down from Glasgow.
