Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr made a tough decision this offseason, choosing to re-sign with the Warriors on a two-year deal. However, Kerr had interest from many other employers, including ESPN and a European basketball team.

According to French newspaper L'Equipe, Kerr had an offer from the president of Paris Basketball, David Kahn, someone Kerr knew as a former NBA executive. It was stated that Kerr originally became fond of the idea of coaching in Paris during the 2024 Olympics.

“Steve contacted me during the second week of the Olympics, saying that he and his wife had spent a whole day walking around Paris and that they couldn’t stop thinking how cool it would be for them to live in that city and for him to perhaps continue his coaching career there once he left the NBA,” said Kahn.

Ultimately, the 12-year head coach decided to return to the Bay Area for two more seasons. That said, a potential overseas coaching job may still be on his radar in the future.
