The Golden State Warriors come into Monday's Game 4 matchup against the Houston Rockets with some very high hopes.
The Warriors enter this pivotal clash up 2-1 in the series, and the fact that they're playing at Chase Center in front of a capacity home crowd puts them in a great position to potentially take a commanding 3-1 lead in this first-round matchup.
Things got even more favorable for Golden State after it was revealed just before tip-off that Jimmy Butler would be available to play. There was a lot of doubt surrounding the six-time All-Star's status for Monday night after Butler was forced to sit out Game 3 due to a pelvic injury.
The Warriors revealed before tip-off, however, that Butler was good to go and that he would be back in the starting lineup for Game 4.
While fans were delighted to hear about the big news, more than a few Warriors supporters could not help but question head coach Steve Kerr's decision to insert Buddy Hield into the starting lineup.
Game 4 marks the first time Hield has started in this series, and this decision from Kerr has prompted some immediate backlash from the fans.
"Kerr doing this (expletive) in the playoffs is crazy… Moody earned that starting position months ago. Even before the Wiggins trade… Buddy has proven to be incredibly inconsistent," a comment on X read.
"KERR ARE YOU SERIOUS," said another.
"Buddy over Moody is insane, but go off bruh," reacted a supporter.

"ARE WE (EXPLETIVE) SERIOUS RIGHT NOW???? BUDDY HIELD????" a post read.
"Kerr is a idiot," declared a fan.
"Who tf let buddy hield in there," commented another.
Kerr has been experimenting with his startling lineup throughout the series, with Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody and Quinten Post all getting starts in previous games.
As it turns out, it's Hield's turn in Game 4, and the sharpshooting vet answered the call by posting two points on 1-of-4 shooting, one rebound, an assist and two steals in nine minutes played in the opening quarter.
Whether or not Kerr's decision to start Hield in this one will eventually pay off still remains to be seen.
