New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs entered rarified air in the 2025 AFC Championship Game.
Diggs put together a quiet performance of five receptions for 17 receiving yards as the Patriots defeated the Denver Broncos 10-7 to advance to Super Bowl LX. However, the 32-year-old capped off his performance with a historic feat.
The Patriots revealed that Diggs achieved a pair of playoff milestones in the receptions department.
“With his fifth reception of the day, Patriots WR Stefon Diggs has become the 11th player in NFL history with 80 postseason receptions and the ninth player to do so in 11 seasons or less,” the Patriots' communications team announced.
The catch came with 14:54 to go in the third quarter. The 11-year veteran passed Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams (79 receptions) for No. 11 on the all-time playoff receptions list.
Diggs joins contemporaries in Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, as well as Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill, in the top-11. He needs six receptions to pass Hall-of-Fame wide receiver Andre Reed for No. 10 all-time.
