The Pittsburgh Steelers have met with a standout cornerback prospect ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft.

According to Penn Live's Nick Farabaugh, the Steelers hosted San Diego State cornerback Chris Johnson for a pre-draft, top-30 visit, in addition to Miami quarterback Carson Beck.

Johnson, a top-10 cornerback prospect from the 2026 NFL Draft class, has recorded 85 combined tackles, 13 passes defended, five interceptions (two returned for touchdowns), and four forced fumbles since 2024. He is projected to be selected in the early-to-mid second round.

There would be few options more worthy of drafting if Johnson slipped to the Steelers at pick No. 53, giving Pittsburgh's already-loaded secondary another young, talented cornerback.

Cornerback wasn't the only position the Steelers are reportedly interested in during this pre-draft period, however, as a top receiver prospect is also being hosted for a top-30 visit in Pittsburgh.
