The Pittsburgh Steelers and defensive tackle Keeanu Benton have come to an agreement on a four-year, $72 million extension, per Ian Rapoport. The deal makes Benton the highest-paid defensive lineman in Steelers history on a per-year basis, tying him with Cam Heyward at $18 million per year.

Benton has appeared in all 17 games in each of the first three years of his career, registering 123 tackles, nine tackles for loss, 28 hits not he quarterback, and 7.5 sacks, including a career-high 5.5 sacks in 2025

The Steelers have now gotten extensions done with three players from their 2023 draft class, as they signed tight end Darnell Washington and edge rusher Nick Herbig to extensions earlier this year. The glaring name remaining is cornerback Joey Porter Jr, who could end up resetting the cornerback market.
