The Pittsburgh Steelers are completely all in on what's shaping up to be Aaron Rodgers' retirement tour in 2026. But one more move, related to some huge NFL news on Stefon Diggs, would take the team from playoff hopefuls to instant Super Bowl contenders.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the NFL closed the personal conduct review of Diggs after "determining there was insufficient evidence of a personal conduct policy violation." And that's where the Steelers come into play, as Diggs shouldn't demand a massive contract after the recent legal situation and the fact that the free agency waters have completely dried up.
Diggs began his career with the Minnesota Vikings in 2015 and would go on to play for the Buffalo Bills, Houston Texans, and New England Patriots during his first 11 years in the league, recording 11,504 receiving yards and 75 total touchdowns in 161 career games.
Yes, the Steelers have Germie Bernard and Roman Wilson who can slot into the WR3 role next to DK Metcalf and Michael Pittman Jr. But considering Bernard and Wilson's inexperience, why risk what is likely Rodgers' last shot at a Super Bowl when Diggs is available?
