T.J. Watt has set the NFL world ablaze with his recent cryptic "peace out" picture on social media. He is currently in the last year of his deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers, and his post seems to hint at a potential departure from the Steel City.

According to insider Ian Rapoport, who made a recent appearance on NFL's Good Morning Football, Watt's post could be bad news for Pittsburgh:

"Generally, when a player makes a social media post, it's almost never nothing."

After agreeing that there is more to Watt's post than meets the eye, he added this interesting bit of insight into how the contract negotiations between Watt and the Pittsburgh Steelers have been going:

"Generally, when a player makes a social media post, it forces us to talk about it on TV—like we're doing right now—it is because contract negotiations are not going as well as anybody had hoped. If they were going well, if things were all wrapped up, then [Watt's picture] would be more like [thumbs up], and less like [peace out]."

Will the Pittsburgh Steelers hunker down and get a deal done quickly to appease their star edge rusher? Or, ultimately, did the 30-year-old Watt play his last snap for the Steel City in 2024?
