One of the biggest stories in the NFL today, Brandon Aiyuk attempting to force his way off the San Francisco 49ers roster, has prompted a response from Pittsburgh Steelers legends Joe Haden and James Harrison.

On a new episode of the Deebo & Joe podcast, Harrison and Haden gave their two cents on Aiyuk's recent controversial antics.

"I do not think that [Aiyuk] understands the ramifications of what he's doing," Harrison said. "And I don't even know, I hate to say it, if he'll have a chance to make up from this if he doesn't stop. … Like, [there's] nobody that is going to take a chance on that, man. You are ruining your whole possibility of continuing your career."

Haden also added that Aiyuk's outbursts may have shown teams he can't be trusted to handle important responsibilities like media availability. He also argued that it takes a long time to build credibility in your character, but one big mistake can ruin it.

"It's one second to tear down 10 years of credibility," Haden said.

The Steelers were previously interested in trading for Aiyuk back in August 2024, but the 49ers wide receiver opted to sign a long-term extension with San Francisco. And that may have actually been the best-case scenario for Pittsburgh, as the issues that Haden and Harrison discussed may leave Aiyuk with very few NFL teams willing to take a chance on him.
