One of the most underrated Pittsburgh Steelers cornerbacks will miss the remainder of the 2025 season, as his 21-day injured reserve activation window has now closed.

The Steelers needed to activate CB Cory Trice off injured reserve by Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. EST — and with the deadline passing both parties by, Trice will remain on IR for the rest of the season.

The Steelers didn’t reinstate Cory Trice from IR today. He’s out for the rest of the season.

A hugely frustrating year for the third year cornerback.

Selected with the 241st overall pick in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft, Trice was one of the biggest steals of the class, but injuries derailed the early parts of his career.

Trice is still under contract for one more year with Pittsburgh, but it remains to be seen if the Steelers will part ways with the talented but oft-injured defender due to health concerns.
